IMPROVING YOUR HEART HEALTH

Your lifestyle

Managing aspects of your lifestyle to prevent cardiovascular disease is a really simple way that you can reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease including heart rhythm problems. This is easy to say, but putting it into practice with realistic and achievable targets, is another thing.

Giving up smoking, diet and exercise are the main things that keep you healthy, but did you know that mental wellbeing is also an important part of keeping you healthy?

If you do develop a problem with the heart, above and beyond medications and procedures. Some of the most frequent questions I get asked are what can I do to maintain and improve my health now that I have been diagnosed with a heart condition?

I will work with you to give you achievable goals and give clear advice about what you should and shouldn’t do with exercise and diet backed up by the latest research and guidelines.

In the meantime, there is excellent information on the British Heart Foundation website.
